Chilli Prawns is a very popular Chinese cuisine and mostly loved by all. Seafood and esp Prawns is very versatile and can be cooked in many ways. Similarly Chilli Prawns can be prepared in a lot many process but this recipe is one of my go to recipe for making a delicious Chilli Prawns athome in a very less time.
Chilli Prawns can be easily made athome in a tasty way and in a much less time if you follow this recipe of ours!
The ingredients in making this version of Chilli Prawns are very simple and mostly found in all kitchen stores, except for some sauces which are infact a must for this recipe though. All the preparations can be done ahead of cooking and thereby simplyfy the cooking process and relish with a super delicacy of Prawns at home.

Equipment
- 1 Wok / Frying Pan
- Basic Kitchen utensils
Ingredients
Marination
- 350 gms Prawns cleaned & deveined
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
Cooking
- 3 tsp Cooking oil
- 1 tsp Garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp Ginger minced
- 1-2 nos Green Chillies
- 1/4 cup Onion
- 1/2 cup Bell peppers
- 1 tbsp Corn flour
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/4 tsp Pepper powder
- 2 tsp Spring onions
- pinch Chilli flakes
- pinch Sesame seeds roasted
Sauces
- 1/2 tsp Soy sauce dark
- 1/2 tsp Red chilli sauce
- 1/2 tsp Green chilli sauce
- 1/2 tsp Tomato sauce
Instructions
Marination
- Take clean & deveined prawns in a bowl.
- Add in the marination ingredients and mix well to coat. Keep to rest for 5 mins.
Preparation
- Clean and dice all the veggies reqd for the recipe.
- Make corn flour slurry and keep aside.
Pan frying
- Heat a frying pan at medium and add in cooking oil.
- Add in the marinated prawns and fry on both sides till 70% done.
- Once done, keep aside.
Cooking
- Heat a wok and add in cooking oil.
- As the oil gets heated, add garlic, ginger, green chillies and spring onion whites. Saute them.
- Add ground pepper and also add the prepared veggies one by one and saute them.
- Also add the sauces and the pan fried prawns and combine well.
- Then add in corn flour slurry and simmer at high heat for 1 – 2 mins.
- When desired texture is attained, off the flame and garnish with spring onion greens, chilli flakes and roasted sesame seeds.
