Pears Pickle – homemade fruit pickle recipe !

Pickle recipes are loved by all and I love to make new & homemade pickles with different varieties of fruits, veggies and seafood which are delicious and worth making. One such recipe which I loved on the first time I tried, is this Pears pickle. So here’s the best of the recipe for making this Pears Pickle.

This is an instant Pickle recipe and can be relished on the first day of making it. Store in clean & dry glass jar for good shelf life.

Pears are highly nutritious & just like apples this fruit can be consumed almost daily. It’s good for your gut and also it is diabetic friendly! Just like Apples, Pears can be eaten daily without any side effects.

One such recipe which I loved on the first time I made is this Pickle recipe made with fresh Pears. I made if few more times and each time tried different variations and this at last is the best of the recipes I loved in this regard as the Pear Pickle.

Cooling Time 3 hours
Total Time 3 hours 25 minutes

Equipment

  • 1 Cooking Pan
  • Basic Kitchen utensils

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbspn Sesame oil
  • 1 tbspn Garlic minced
  • 1 tbspn Ginger minced
  • 1 tbspn Green Chillies
  • pinch Fenugreek seeds roasted
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Black sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek powder
  • 1/2 cup Dates
  • as reqd Salt
  • 1 tbspn Apple cider vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Clean & Cut pears and keep aside.
  • Heat a pan at medium to low and add oil.
  • Add garlic, ginger, green chillies and saute for 1 -2 mins.
  • Add fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds and black sesame seeds and saute.
  • Off the flame or turn heat to very low and add spices.
  • Roast the spices and the add the cut Pears.
  • Cover & cook for 5 – 10 mins.
  • Add deseeded Dates and continue cooking for 5 mins more.
  • Add salt as required and give a good mix.
  • Lastly off the flame & add apple cider vinegar.
  • Mix in well & keep to cool for 3 – 4 hours.
  • Pears Pickle is ready to relish.

Storage

  • Transfer to a clean and dry glass jar.
  • Store in refrigerator for long shelf life.
